One of our school-wide learning goals revolves around literacy and incorporating it throughout all curriculum. Literacy in mathematics is a vital component in student learning. Much of the terminology used in mathematics is not used outside of the mathematics classroom. This is why it is imperative that teachers effectively incorporate literacy strategies in their classroom on a regular basis.
